I'm Omer Ben Dor — a lighting and visualization designer for theatre and architecture. I build photoreal 3D pre-visualizations that let directors and designers see the light before the first cue is ever called.
From a young age I was drawn to theatres — sitting in the hall, simply mesmerized by how direction, lighting and scenery come together into one living image.
I fell in love with stage lighting and set out to become a professional lighting designer. At 16 I began teaching myself lighting visualization, and since 18 I've been creating lighting pre-visualizations for plays and performances across Israel and around the world.
I've built visualizations for productions such as Cabaret, Waitress, Death of a Salesman and Angels in America at the Cameri Theatre, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert at the Habima National Theatre, Sonia at the Haifa Theatre, and many more.
In lighting design, I designed Everyone's Talking About Me (Soliko Festival / Habima) and the musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Guitar Loft, Tel Aviv). In the architectural field I create product and space visualizations for Plant-Aura, interior designers, private clients and more.
Theatre visualizations, architectural renders, and personal lighting studies. Filter by discipline and open any project for credits and gallery.
Have a production, a space or a product that needs to be seen in the right light? I'd love to hear about it.
